Hi! Welcome to Sweet Peas and Pigtails! Thank you for visiting me. I’m really glad you’re here!

I’m Jennifer and I just love being an SLP. I earned my masters degree in 2006 and my C’s the following year. I have worked in a variety of settings over the past 10 years including private practice, home health, and private schools. In 2015, I started blogging and creating therapy materials and it’s the second job I never planned for, but that I absolutely love.

But, there are other things I love more…

God has blessed me with a handsome husband and two little sweet peas. I'm so grateful God picked me to be their mommy.

I also love the sunshine and getting outside.

We are a pretty active family and we can usually be found walking the neighborhood or at a park, a lake, or the beach. Before kids, I was a distance runner. I ran my first marathon in 2009 and have several half marathons under my belt. I'd definitely love to get back into running and I have my eyes on some fun 5ks in the near future.

We also love DIY projects around here. From making cool water tables for the kiddos to things around the house to even our own toothpaste and deodorant! It's such a fun hobby!

Well that's me in a nutshell. I hope you stick around for awhile. I generally blog about specific materials, speech and kiddos, and games, but you may also find posts about natural living and some of our DIY projects! I just blog what's on my mind!

The "shop" button will take you to my Teachers Pay Teachers store. It's there you'll find all of my products for therapy including apraxia cards, final consonant deletion, following directions and much more! There's also some fun freebies! I mean, who doesn't love a freebie!

If you want to keep up with my posts, you can follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Teachers Pay Teachers! If you aren't active on social media, it's okay! Just fill out the email subscription box on my page and you can get every post delivered to your inbox.

As always, I love to read your comments at the end my posts…please share your thoughts with me!
